Ya’ll!  As I write this, it is so hot outside.  Too miserable to go outside.  I feel for those who have to work outside.  I have no idea how they do it in weather like this.   Anywho, I was looking for a recipe to try my new Western Son Prickly Pear Vodka, but I couldn’t find anything online.  So I came up with my own recipe.   And let me tell you….it’s REALLY REALLY dang great.  This would be fantastic to serve for 4th of July!!

2 oz. Prickly Pear Vodka
2 oz. Cranberry Juice
1 oz. Fresh Lemon Juice

In a cocktail shaker filled with ice add the vodka, cranberry juice and lemon juice. Shake well and strain into a glass with fresh ice.  Garnish with a lemon wheel and rosemary if desired.  The Rosemary is quite nice (even though I had to suffer going outside to get it).

I’d love to know your thoughts if you try this.  It’s a really unique and interesting flavor.  And of course I drank it down really fast but now I’m enjoying drinking the melted ice which still has the drink’s flavor on them.  It’s so good!
