I know it’s not even Thanksgiving yet but it feels like the holidays are here. I see Christmas decorations going up all around me and what better way to get in the holiday spirit than to enjoy a delicious gingerbread martini?  This is served in a coupe glass.

1 oz. Vodka
1 oz. Kahlua
1 oz. Baileys Irish Cream
1.5 oz. Gingerbread Syrup such as Torani
2 oz. Whipping Cream
Gingerbread for garnish if desired

In a cocktail shaker filled with ice add the vodka, Kahlua, Baileys and gingerbread syrup and shake vigorously for 20 seconds. Strain into a small coupe glass and garnish with whipped cream and gingerbread.  Cheers!

This is another variation of the Sex on the Beach  cocktail. The only difference is we leave out the orange and cranberry juice and we add blue Curacao and 7up. It’s so easy to make this drink and it’s gorgeous!

Sex on the Driveway

1 oz. Vodka
1 oz. Peach Schnapps
2 oz. Blue Curacao
Top off with 7 up
Garnish with lemon wheel or lemon peel

In a tall cocktail glass fill with ice.  Add the Curacao in the glass and then add the vodka, peach schnapps and top off with 7up.  Stir gently to slightly blend the blue with the clear to get an Ombre effect.

Enjoy!  Cheers!

This is a basic Moscow Mule recipe which is made with vodka, but there are so many variations using different flavors and different alcohols but the ginger beer is the key that makes it a mule.  These are traditionally served in a copper mug since copper elevates this drink and keeps it colder. But, if you are anything like me, it won’t last long so if you don’t have a copper mug, by all means use what you have!

Moscow Mule:

2 oz. Vodka (use good quality)
.5 oz. Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice
2 Sprigs of Mint
5 oz. Ginger Beer

In a copper mug put 1 mint sprig (the sprig should have at least 5 or more leaves on it) and muddle it in the cup.  Add ice and then add vodka, lime juice, and ginger beer. Stir and then garnish with the other mint sprig and a lime wheel.  Cheers!

Check out our Blueberry Lemonade Mule recipe here!!  It’s still one of my favorites!

Woo Woo

A Woo Woo is a super simple variation of a Sex on the Beach.   All we do is leave out the orange juice and adjust the amount of ingredients to make a tall cocktail.  Only 3 ingredients and you have a delicious and refreshing cocktail.

2 oz. Vodka
.75 oz. Peach Schnapps
4 oz. Cranberry Juice
Garnish with orange, lemon or lime wheel

In a cocktail shaker filled with ice add the vodka, peach schnapps and cranberry juice. Shake well and strain into glass filled with fresh ice.  Garnish as desired.

Here is a link to a quick video on how to make a Sex on the Beach cocktail and it talks about the Woo Woo variation.  I hope you enjoy!  Cheers!

I love going to restaurants and ordering cocktails…I really do!!  Back in the day when TGI Fridays was really popular I remember ordering a Sex on the Beach (and other drinks) cocktail and thinking that it was good, but really sweet.  Well I’ve got you covered here.  This drink is made very well and is not overly sweet since the recipe calls for no sugar added Cranberry juice instead of grenadine.

Here’s the recipe for Sex on the Beach plus 3 simple variations. So with just a few easy modifications you can look brilliant and offer your guests 4 different cocktails!! Sounds like an excuse to have a party to me.  🙂

Sex on the Beach
2 oz. Vodka
1 oz. Peach Schnapps
2 oz. Orange Juice (or grenadine)
2 oz. Cranberry Juice
Garnish with umbrella, pretty straw, orange slice and cherry

This is a layered drink so you really have to follow the order. Fill a hurricane glass and cocktail shaker with ice.  Add the cranberry juice to the glass. In the cocktail shaker add the vodka, orange juice and peach schnapps.  Shake well and strain into the glass.  Using a bar spoon slightly blend the red with the orange to create an Ombre effect.  Garnish as desired.  Cheers!

Sex on Fire

2 oz. Fireball Whiskey
2.5 oz. Orange Juice
2.5 oz. Cranberry Juice (or grenadine)
1 oz. Peach Schnapps

This is a layered drink so you really have to follow the order. Fill a hurricane glass and cocktail shaker with ice.  Add the cranberry juice to the glass. In the cocktail shaker add the Fireball, orange juice and peach schnapps.  Shake well and strain into the glass.  Using a bar spoon slightly blend the red with the orange to create an Ombre effect.  Garnish as desired.   Cheers!

Sex on the Driveway (this is the blue drink)
1 oz. Vodka
2 oz. Blue Curacao
1 oz. Peach Schnapps
4 oz. 7 Up or Sprite

This is a layered drink so you really do have to follow the order. Fill a hurricane glass and cocktail shaker with ice.  Add vodka, curacao and peach schnapps to the cocktail shaker and shake well. Strain into the glass and then add 7 up on top.  Using a bar spoon gently blend the layers. Cheers!

Sparkling Rosemary Paloma

This is a perfect option for any day of the week. It’s so refreshing and perfect for sipping while you sit back and relax.

Make Rosemary Simple Syrup ahead of time. Recipe is as follows:

In a small saucepan over medium heat mix 1 cup granulated sugar and 1 cup water and add 2-3 sprigs of rosemary. Bring to a simmer and cook until the sugar is fully dissolved and the water is not cloudy. Strain the rosemary out and pour the liquid into an airtight glass container and store in the refrigerator. Will last about 4 weeks.

2 oz. Tequila (Blanco)
1 oz. Rosemary Simple Syrup **
.5 oz. Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice
2-3 oz. Sparkling Grapefruit Soda (like Squirt or for a no sugar option use LaCroix)
Optional Garnish: Kosher Salt for the Rim, Fresh Grapefruit Wedges, Rosemary Sprig

Salt the rim of a glass and set aside.  In a cocktail shaker filled with ice add the tequila, simple syrup, and lime juice. Shake and strain into a glass filled with fresh ice.  Top off with grapefruit soda and use bar spoon to stir. Garnish with grapefruit and rosemary.  Cheers!

**Regular simple syrup will work fine but just add a sprig of rosemary in the glass before you put ice in and the rosemary essence will come through.

This cocktail is sure to put a smile on your face. This is so much better than eating a piece of pumpkin pie and more fun too!

2 oz. Pumpkin Spice Vodka
1 oz. Dark Rum
2 oz. Pumpkin Puree
1 oz. Maple Syrup + more for rim of glass
.5 oz. 1/2 & 1/2
.25 oz. Vanilla Extract
1 Graham Cracker (crushed)
1/2 tsp Cinnamon
1 TBS Sugar

To Make:
Crush the Graham Cracker and mix with cinnamon and sugar. Dip a chilled martini glass in a plate of maple syrup to wet the rim. Dip rim of glass in crushed graham cracker & Cinnamon Sugar mix.

In a cocktail shaker filled with ice add the vodka, rum, pumpkin, maple syrup, 1/2 & 1/2 and vanilla.  Shake well and strain into the prepared glass.  Cheers!

There is something magical about a well made margarita; it just soothes the soul. Just 3 simple ingredients, and quality matters!

2 oz. Blanco Tequila (100% Agave only)
1 oz.  Orange Liqueur (Cointreau is best but Grand Mariner or Triple Sec will work)
1 oz. Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice

Rim a glass with either Kosher Salt or Sea Salt. In a cocktail shaker with ice add the Tequila, Orange Liqueur and Lime Juice.  Shake well and strain into a glass with fresh ice.  Garnish with a lime wheel.  Cheers!

If you are making margaritas for a crowd, juice the limes ahead of time, but make the drinks to order for best results.

If you like a sweeter drink, you could add a splash of fresh squeezed orange juice, agave syrup or simple syrup. But don’t over-do the sweet stuff!

September 15th is National Crème de Menthe Day so what better way to celebrate than to enjoy a delicious Grasshopper!   It has a nice chocolate mint flavor and will remind you of an Andes Mint.   If you don’t have Crème de Cocoa or some kind of chocolate liqueur, you could swap for  Irish Crème Liqueur  and that would be delicious, but it’s not a grasshopper.

2 oz. Crème de Menthe
2 oz. Crème de Cocoa
2 oz. 1/2 and 1/2
Optional garnish of shaved chocolate

In a cocktail shaker filled with ice add the crème de menthe,  crème de cocoa and 1/2 and 1/2.   Shake well and strain into a martini glass.  Garnish with shaved chocolate if desired.  Cheers!

Hard to believe this is video #9!! Someone asked me the other day if there was any video I made where I didn’t really like the cocktail.  The answer is “no”.  Each recipe was carefully curated and  tested over and over until it was just right.  In fact, in most cases I’ve been surprised at how fantastic it tasted when made well.   Most bars use lower quality ingredients and too much sweet stuff and I think you’ll notice that the ingredients I use are top shelf and fresh. But full disclosure, I do not drink alcohol every day and rarely drink excessively, so I am a lightweight!!  So sometimes when I’m filming and sipping at the end, I really struggle if I have to do a reset and shoot it over again.  In the beginning I didn’t understand that editing would clean up all the boo

boos so I thought I had to have a perfect end to end video.  The first video I made took me 5 hours to get it right and I was pretty toasted and frazzled by the end.  The last 2 have been much easier and now it takes longer to clean and set up than it does to film. But that’s ok. I get a clean kitchen out of it!

My sincerest thank you for your support by watching the videos and/or following on social media. I know your time is valuable and I want to bring you the best recipes possible so you can entertain like a pro!  Cheers!
