“I think I’m in Love” by Eddie Money was playing when I took a sip of this cocktail and it had me singing “I think I’m in Love!”  Wow, this is it!  If you’re looking for a Valentine’s cocktail, this one is perfect. It has a gorgeous color and the flavor will make your toes curl.

Blackberry Elderflower Cocktail

6 Blackberries plus more for garnish
2 oz. Vodka
1 oz. Elderflower Liqueur
.5 Fresh Lemon Juice
1 oz. Simple Syrup

Start with juicing the lemon using the citrus reamer and set juice aside.  Place the blackberries at the bottom of the cocktail shaker and use the muddler to mash the blackberries.  Add ice to the cocktail shaker.  Add vodka, elderflower liqueur, lemon juice and simple syrup.  Strain using the hawthorn and/or fine mesh strainer to keep all the blackberry seeds out.  Garnish with blackberries if desired.
